Sweet sketch Wednesday 2 buttons and bows

I didn't have time to play at Sweet Sketch Wednesday last week, not sure what happened but even Martin got a birthday card out of the made basket even though I had bought a new stamp to make his card with.

Anyway here is my card for this weeks challenge

The twist is buttons and bows so my buttons are from a sizzlits buttons die which I have cut out in patterned papers and then glazed with glossy accents and the bow is from  the paper bows pad which matches the Kitsch papers from Craftwork Cards.
Here's a close up

So the main image is from Lili of the Valley, papers and base card are from Craftwork cards, the swirl die is Memory box and the blue card is another piece used up from the A4 box.

Sweet sketch Wednesday 2 challenge

Here I am last minute again, I really don't know where the weeks are going at the moment, just hope when the holidays come around they don't fly by at the same rate.

So this is the sketch

and this is my card

I have used papers from The Paradise collection from Craftwork Cards, I chose to cut down the birdcage paper to supply my focal image and then cut round the fuchsias on the creamy coloured paper to overlap it.
Base card is also Craftwork Cards and ric rac is from the jar.
Hope you like it

Using up the older stuff

Here is my card for this weeks Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 Challenge

and here is the sketch we had to follow

I made a 148mm square card blank from a piece of blue card then matted white card onto it for a border. The stripy paper, embossed white card and sentiment came from Craftwork Cards a few years ago and I have had the ribbon bow for a while too.
The image is Sarah Kay decoupage mounted onto a doily.

All in all a card made from items I have had for a couple of years at least.

Purple twist at SSW2

It's been a lovely weekend here  in Yorkshire and Martins rugby team won as well so that was a bonus.

It's last week of the month time over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 so as well as this great sketch

there is a twist which is purple.

So here is my card

The main image is a Woodware stamp called Delicate Daisies which I have coloured with copics and then paper pieced the main blooms but not stuck all the petals down.

The papers are a mix of  Crate Paper and Basic Grey which I have overstamped  with Judikins Mince Flourish. The ribbon slide came from Paper Cellar a while ago and the ribbon is from the purple jar which has since had a tidy. Pearls are from Hobby House and I have embellished the image with Perfect Pearls.

Hope you like it and thank you so much for visiting

Fairy

This is my card for the latest sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. It is a bit late in the posting but we had a surprise visit from my brother yesterday tea time when I was making it. Anyway, better nearly late than never.
The image is Lili of the Valley, white card is from the scrap box, sentiment is Hero Arts, ribbon is American Crafts, flowers are from the jar on the shelf and the brads are from the brad box.

Thank you for visiting and for any comments you are kind enough to leave

Purple Passion

The theme this week over at Allsorts this week is Purple Passion, I love purple so started on this card the other night.

Was wondering what else to add to it besides the papers, image and sentiment so just settled on the little purple gems and I think it's enough.
The base card came from Whichcraft a few years ago, image and papers are Lili of the Valley, sentiment is Woodware and the white and lilac card are from the snippets box under the craft table.

The blue tits are busy to-ing and fro-ing feeding their young, we know they are busy when the washing line starts bouncing

Probably not the best pic but they don't stay still for too long.

Hope all my UK visitors have a lovely bank holiday weekend

Weekend makes

We had a great time at a workshop at Whichcraft on Saturday where we made these beauties using Woodware Stamps

When I got home I made a start on this card for the challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday

Then I noticed on Kevins blog that the Graph it colour challenge has Oranges and lemons for their theme so thought I would enter there too.

I have used a stamp from Lili of the Valley and coloured it with copics, the orange card is bazzill bling and the dotty and gingham paper has been in the box for quite some time.
The flower is an imagination crafts stamp stamped onto the bazzill and then cut out.
The pearls are Prima
