January Blues

Towards the end of last year I purchased a decorate your own calendar from the lovely Julie Hickey. As part of the cost there is an inspiration workshop in a Facebook group each month and I am sharing my creation for January.

Here is a close-up

I really enjoyed creating this. I have used various blue distress oxide inks, I think Tumbled Glass and Broken China.
Stamp is Peter's Snowdrops from Julie Hickey Designs Designer Series range which I  coloured with Copics
Stencils also from Julie Hickey Designs are Backgrounds #3 and Hazel's Circle Medley

Thank you for visiting

I am entering this card at Allsorts Challenge Blog where the theme is January Blues, hence my blog title and not because I have them.
and also Stamping Sensations - There are snowdrops on the mood board (Thank you Carol for the heads-up)
I'd also like to play along with the Anything Goes theme at We Love Stamping, and although these stamps aren't new into my stash I hadn't used them before this project so that takes me to the
NBUS (Never Before Used Stuff) Challenge which I haven't entered before but it shouldn't be a problem for me to enter many times over

What a great idea to have a calendar to decorate and I love the composition you did with January! The stenciling and snowdrops are a perfect choice! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
