Jubilee June at SSW2

It's a really warm June day here in Yorkshire, it has been around 27degrees I think.

There is still a couple of weeks to enter our latest challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 where we have bit of a Jubilee theme of red, white and blue going on as I am in the UK and set the optional twist  for this month.

I've used Lili of the Valley images for both my cards.

This first one uses Teddy Bouquet, which I bought when they had the lovely shop in Farsley [even my husband liked to visit], my papers are some old Memory Box and pearls are Hobby House. Ribbon is from my stash.

I have used a Simply Print James the Bear Cheers, the sentiment is Julie Hickey Designs and the papers are Fancy Pants - Nautical, again really old

Thank you for visiting

May challenge at SSW2

I thought that I had better share my DT cards for our May SSW2 challenge, there are still a couple of days to enter if you like.

My first card for sketch 228 uses a very old Penny Black Stickeroo and some Nitwits papers from the One Birdie Lane collection and the little sentiment is from Julie Hickey Designs.
Here is the sketch I followed, designed by Kathie at our Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog.

Card number 2 uses some Tilly Daydream decoupage and papers from the Watercolour Dots Cool Sunset whcih are all no longer available. The blue card came from the Kanban factory shop offcuts section. Dies are from Spellbinders and the little bow came from a Papercraft Society box, the little droplets are from Stampin' Up, I won them as part of a prize on a zoom bingo night with The Paper Haven.

Here is the sketch which I followed.

Hope you have a lovely week.

An Earth Day twist at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

Our latest challenge launched today over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and we had 2 more great sketches to play with. As it's Earth Day later this month we also have an optiona; twist of Nature.

Here are my cards

My first card uses elements from Papercraft Society Box 30 which is supporting the RSPB

I coloured the rabbit with Copic markers and the background is an embossed piece of card which has been inked with Distress Oxides. Pearls are Hobby House and the ribbon is very old Craftwork Cards.

My second card uses a Daisy Mae Designs precoloured digital download Holy Moley
I love this image and am tempted to buy the stamp

The papers are from an old First Edition Pad called Spring Feast

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my last post I always appreciate them, I will get round for more commenting this month.

I'm entering my card at Allsorts where the theme is Real Animals

SSW2 DT cards for March

Hello again everyone. Here are my DT cards for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 in March. We're adding an optional twist to some of the challenges this year and Olga has chosen Autumn Colours for this month as Autumn is just beginning in the southern hemisphere where she lives.

I struggled a bit with the autumn colours but this is what I came up with.

This is my card for sketch 224

I used an image from an old Lili of the Valley Art pad, some My Minds Eye papers and the bow die is from a Made to Surprise set

My card for sketch 225

The image is from some Sarah Kay decoupage, I think the image is called Elodie in Her Garden. The papers are First Edition Desert Blooms, the butterfiles are from The Range and the bows are the Made to Surprise ones again.

Thank you for taking the time to visit.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 DT cards

Hello and welcome back to my blog. The end of 2021 and beginning of 2022 was a little bit challenging but I'm here now and we'll see if I can manage to be here a little more often this year.

I am here with the DT cards I made for the February sketches at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. We are not having digital sponsors this year, the team are supplying the prizes and we are using our existing stash. I am enjoying being able to do that as I've been collecting it for a while.

Sketch 222

The image is a Lili of the Valley rubber stamp 'Vintage' which I have had for some time, coloured with Polychromos pencils. Papers are Father Knows Best also Lili of the Valley, twine is from my stash.

I will take this card over to Allsorts as their challenge is for 'Hand coloured or paper pieced' this week so I will go with the hand coloured.

Sketch 223

I used a Dovecraft decoupage and paper pad for this card called Butterfly Kisses, there's sparkly details on it but it's not showing up in the photos. I had had my eye on it for a while and finally took the plunge and bought it just before Christmas. I've made 5 cards with it and really enjoyed using it. The ribbon and pearls are both from The Hobby House.

Thank you for visiting, and to my followers for sticking with me. I'd best go and catch up with a bit of commenting now.
Hugs
Anne

Getting back in the swing of it.

Hello, I hope this post finds you all well. It's been a busy week as I have worked every day as we have a bit of a project on after a spell on part-time furlough but I am finally getting around to posting a card for this weeks challenge over at Allsorts where the theme is Any Real Animal or Creature.

I thought I would share the swing card I made for my lovely great-nephew last month.
Stamps and dies are all Made to Surprise apart from the birthday sentiment which is from a Penny Black set from 2008 and the number is Julie Hickey Designs.

I have really enjoyed making these swing cards.

Here are a couple more
This one was for a leaving card

I thought having Santa swinging from the chimney might be a nice idea

I did make another one for my great niece but it looks like I forgot to take a picture of that.

Thank you for visiting

Stay well

A Challenge for Kath - Allsorts

There is a Challenge for Kath this week at Allsorts and here is my entry.
The theme is Favourite Stamps with the option of  Paper Pieced Flowers. I don't think that I personally have one favourite stamp but I know that this was one of Kaths so thought that I would use it.

I have used Penny Black 3377K Whispers stamped with Versafine Onyx Black
Papers are Nitwits Bonnets and Bowties
Ribbon and pearls are from my stash

I also thought that I would share a few of the birthday cards which I recieved form Kath over the years, I hope that you enjoy seeing them as much as I always enjoyed receiving them.

Thank you for visiting
