Workshop cards

These are the cards we made on Sunday with Francoise Read. Really enjoyed the class, it's ages since I did one.

All stamps are by Francoise for Woodware, papers are Basic Grey and they were coloured with Copics

Little bit of lilac

This image on this card came from Carole at the craft group, it's just been colored with promarkers and matted onto some brown card. The papers are 3 bugs in a rug and then I've finished it with my favourite dotty organza ribbon and a little flower with a zoom in it, well I think thats what they were called when I bought mine ages ago.

The Maya Road ribbon charm started life as pewter but was modified using alcohol inks, papers are Sandylion overstamped with a Judikins stamp - Plum Branch.
Ribbon and flowers are from my stash.

mooooo

I love this Penny Black stamp as it always makes me smile, but it spends more time in my stamp drawer than out of it so I took it to the last craft night and inked it up and coloured it in with Promarkers. I inked around the edges and then mounted it onto a base card with Myminds Eye papers which I overstamped with Judikins Mince Flowers and Leaves stamp. Paper ribbon is by Paper Cellar, red card was kindly donated by Carole and flowers are from my stash. The blue pearls and the big flower were coloured with promarkers too, I was really pleased with how they came up.

Need to get busy

Well this is the only non wonky scan in my pictures so I'd better get scanning soon if I am going to keep this posting level up.
The stamps are from a Woodware stamp set which I bought years ago and are designed by Francoise Read. It's quite appropriate to use this card today as I am off on a workshop with Francoise this morning then over to the Stamp Man open weekend this afternoon. Seems like a good day to me

Last of the mojos

Here's the last of those mojo monday sketches from the craft group. I used a magenta stamp which I bought at the GNPE shopw in Harrogate, stamped onto translucent shrink plastic and coloured in with chalk pencils. I stuck it on with pinflair but will use something different next time as it shows a bit. Paper is by sandylion, ribbon is May Arts, dotted scallop came from Craftwork Cards a while ago and the green card is Bazzill.

I'm off to attempt a card for the Penny Black Saturday challenge now. Theme is monochromatic brown, not sure how I'll get on with that............

Not quite all there

This is another Nov 09 Mojo Monday sketch, my scanner seems to have missed a bit off the right hand side of it, but I think you will get the idea.
This is an Anya stamp I think.
I coloured it in with Marvy le Plume pens and then left it on my table for a week before I made it up into a card.
All the papers are from the Craftwork Cards candy cane set, green card is bazzill, message is from Craftwork cards, paper ribbon is by paper cellar and green organza ribbon is from my stash

Italian Life

It's a lovely day here today so I am reminded of sunny days in Italy.

Thought I'd share this simple layout of the old folk gathering outside the San Matteo gate in San Gimignano, it's a daily occurrence when we are there, hence the title 'Italian Life'. I also like the fresh green colours on this, very springlike.

Thursday, 8 April 2010

It's my great-nephews birthday later this month, he will be 4. Here's a layout of him when he was just a few months old with his Uncle Matthew.
Papers are American crafts, cardstock is bazzill, ribbon is most likely from the Little Silver Hat kit which I used to be part of and which is sadly no more.
