Sweet Sketch Wednesday and Balloons

 Hello everyone. I am sharing a couple of cards in one post today.

There is still another week to go on the current Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 challenge and this is my second DT card for April using sketch 276. 

It's a little different with the 4 small focal points and I had initially thought to do a Christmas card but got these new Julie Hickey Designs - Designer Series stamps and decided to use Peter's Heleniums on this card, the sentiment is from the same set. Paper is Hello Irrestible DSP from Stampin Up. I have coloured the flowers with a mixture of Copics and Spectrum Noir. Dies are also Stampin Up - Stylish Shapes.

I am also going to share this card which I made for a friends birthday back in March

I've used a mixture of Julie Hickey Designs and Stampin Up products again on this one. I don't think the colours are completely true, they seem to be better on my phone.

We Love Stamping Guest Designer

 I am honoured to be a guest designer over at 

We Love Stamping this month where the theme is Spring.

I much prefer physical stamps to digital ones and here is my first card.

Daffodils always say Spring to me, my mum always had daffodils in the house at Easter and I have carried on this tradition.

The daffodils are from a Honeydoo Crafts stamp called Daffodils and I coloured them with Stampin Up watercolour pencils used dry.

The image piece was cut out using Julie Hickey Designs Layers, Frames and Banners - Rectangle die and stencilled with her Backgrounds #3 and one  the dots were from Backgrounds Stencils set 1 in Mowed lawn and fossilised amber.

The sentiment is from The Timber Boutique - Flowers in Bloom.

Unicorn days

I do hope that all who celebrate have had a lovely Easter I can't believe that it is April already and today it's time for another challenge at Critter Crazy Challenge.

The challenge is to havr a critter (real or fantasy) as the main focus on your card and here is my DT card.

The unicorn image is a Simply Print from Lili of the Valley Unicorn 3, I printed it twice and decoupaged one layer.

The papers are from Card Creations and Craftwork Cards, both sadly no longer with us.

The sentiment is Julie Hickey Designs Birthday Sentiments and the flowers were bought in Hobbycraft a few years ago. The pearls are from my stash and probably from the Hobby House.

 Here is my second card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 this month.

I used Julie Hickey Designs - Friendship Blooms stamp whcih I stamped onto a snippet of Nitwits Petal Fresh paper and used more snippets for the leaves and 2 more flowers. I only cut into a new piece of paper for the largest piece.

Blue card is from stash and the pearls are from Hobby House.

 It's time for a new challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and we have a rectangular sketch for the first sketch this month.

I used Julie Hickey Designs - Julies Handpicked Bouquet for my image and the Happy Birthday sentiment and used Stampin Up watercolour pencils to colour.

The other sentiment is from Julie Hickey Designs - Floral Happiness Stamp set.

The spotty paper is Dottie Card from AnnaMarie Designs, ribbon is from Stash and I used a little bit of  embroidery floss to add a bit more interest.

Cross Stitch Critter

It's the first of the month so that means another challenge at Critter Crazy Challenge where anything goes with a critter.

This is a coaster which I stitched as a birthday gift for one of my office buddies last month.

The chart is from Mad Millie on Etsy and is called Tiny Cute Pug and I stitched it on 16 count white aida. I changed the colours to match my friends dogs.

The glass coaster is from Stitchtastic.

SSW2 - Sketch 271

 Here is my first card for this months challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

I used a Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder, Blush Rose papers which came from Craftwork Cards, the ribbon is from the Hobby House and the little dots are from Sweet Huni Designs.

The sentiment is a Dreamees stamp. 

Most of these items are no longer available but I am sure many of us have items with a similar vintage in our collections.

Critter Crazy #83

 It's time for another challenge at Critter Crazy Challenge and here is my DT card

I created this Double Z Fold card using an old Craftwork Cards Kit Enchanted Woodland.

The sentiment die I think was DoCrafts and the stamped greeting is from Juile Hickey Designs Daisy Medley.

Card to create the base was in my stash and possibly came from Craftwork Cards

January Blues

Towards the end of last year I purchased a decorate your own calendar from the lovely Julie Hickey. As part of the cost there is an inspiration workshop in a Facebook group each month and I am sharing my creation for January.

I really enjoyed creating this. I have used various blue distress oxide inks, I think Tumbled Glass and Broken China.
