Here is my first card for our current challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

I used papers from the Hobby House - Bluebell Wood Floral, Spot and Damask and the topper is a Wee Stamps Bluebell Wood also from Hobby House as is the green card.

The Bubble Daisy Border Die is from Poppy Stamps and the gems are from Stampin Up.

Critter Crazy #81 December 2023

 Here is my card for Critter Crazy Challenge this month.

I used some free papers from Making Cards Magazine (sadly no more) and was inspired by one of the inspiration cards in there making just a couple of tweaks.

The embossing folder is from my stash, the sentiment is Craftwork Cards and the ribbon and sparkles are from my stash.

Sweety Sketch Wednesday 2 Sketch 266 November 2023

 Hello and thank you for visiting. Thank you for all your lovely comments, they mean a lot. I know it's not Wednesday but I thought that I would share my second DT card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 this month. It's another very straightforward sketch from Kathie but I chose to rotate it by one turn to fit my image.

I used an image from a Lili of the Valley Art Pad, the Art Pads are no longer available but you can purchase the image Toot Toot as a Simply Print from their Etsy Shop.

The papers are from a pad from Paper Addicts called Game On.

I've used Card Candi and twine to embellish.

Critter Crazy #80 November 2023

 Two posts in one day, it's just how the DT dates have fallen this month.

Here is my card for Critter Crazy Challenge this month where the challenge is always anything goes with a bird or animal as the main focus.

I have used a couple of Papercraft Society Kits from last year for my card.

The polar bear and papers are from Daisy Mae, box 38 and the sentiment and sequins are from box 37 Made to Surprise and I think that the red card came from another box.

The card base is DoCrafts and is 5 and a quarter inches square.

The embossing folder is Crafters Companion and as I have typed that I have realised that I can take this card over to the Allsorts Challenge blog where the theme is Dry or Heat Embossing.

SSW2 Sketch 265 November 2023

Firstly, thank you for all the lovely comments on my last card and thanks also for the lovely team at Allsorts for choosing me in their Top 5.

My first post today is for one of my DT cards this month at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

I used decoupage and papers from Craft Consortium Cottage Garden by Helz Cuppleditch, the ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 Sketch 264

 This is my second card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 this month.

Kathies sketch was something a little different this month

I die-cut lots of 1 inch squares from some snippets of First Edition Papers which I then mounted onto white card, I added some Hobby House Ribbon and a Dovecraft foiled sentiment and matted it onto a couple of colours of card. I did decorate the inside of the card as well but didn't take a photo and I used the card for a friends birthday.

I used some Watercolour Feelings papers from The Works.

The stamps are Julie Hickey designs Fresh Floral Stamps and dies, they were embossed with WOW! Polished Gold embossing powder, the circles are also from Julie Hickey Designs.

I won the lace seceral years ago from Allsorts challenge and the sequins came from Marian at Sugar and Spice.

Critter Crazy #79 October 2023

 Here is my card for Critter Crazy Challenge blog this month. 

The challenges are always anything goes with a featured critter

The papers and decoupage are Dovecraft Little Red Robin.

I cut a piece of 7 x 9 inches cream card and scored it at 2 and a half, 3 and a half , 5 and a half and 6 and a half on the 9 inch side to make the base card. This is such an easy fun  fold card.

Mirri card and jewels are from my stash.

Sketch 262 for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

Here is my second card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 this month. The only difference is in the gems which I used.

I have used an old Papermania kit including this Santa decoupage and lovely papers. I just added some kraft card, ribbon and the gems.

Sketch 261 Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 September DT card

 Our larest challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 went live today and here is my first card.

It is also the card I made my husband for our wedding anniversary last month.

I used a Stampin' Up set Love for You which I won at a Paper Haven Bingo Night and the papers are also Stampin Up Country Gingham which were also a bingo prize.

I also used Distress Oxide inks.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 August 2023

I think I should rename this blog 'The Reluctant Blogger' I've been feeling a bit under the weather recently so I have been a bit neglectful. I have a few days booked off work and hopefully can catch up with some commenting on the blogs of those of you who are knid enough to leave comments for me. They are always really appreciated.

Sketch 259

I used elements from the Hobby House Daisy Chain Meadow kit to make this 149mm square card.

The grosgrain ribbon is American Crafts and the sentiment is Craftwork Cards.

Sketch 260

This card uses papers and sentiment from Papercraft Society box 15, the flower dies are Lisa Horton, embossing folder is 3D Basket Weave from Gemini and the gems are from my stash.

Cross stitch critters

 It's time for the new challenge at Critter Crazy Challenge Blog and this month I am sharing a cross stitch which I am in the process of framing. I have used the pin method on foam board but I still need to get some tape for the back.

There hasn't been much crafting time at all recently as we are hosting a big lunch this weekend coupled with a very hot craft room so I thought I would share this make for my design team piece as this is a true anything goes challenge as long as a critter is the focus.

The chart is by Jardin Prive, it's a free chart available from their website which is also available in a couple of other languages. They are lovely charts, I have another one of hers on the go and one kitted up ready to start as well.

I changed the colours to suit the decor in my hallway and stitched it 2 over 1 on some 14count rustico aida using Anchor threads. The ribbon is from my stash and the frame is from Ikea.

Here is my DT card for the second sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 this month, sketch 256.

I used dies, stamps and papers from the Papercraft Society box 41 designed by Chloes Creative Cards, border dies are by Tim Holtz for Sizzix and the sentiment is Julie Hickey Designs.

The card blank is 6 and 1/4 inces square and made from some really old pearlescent pink card which came from Craftwork Cards.

Awesome Otters at Critter Crazy Challenge

and this is my first post for this team.

The challenge theme is always Anything Goes with a Featured Critter and this month I have made this card.

Sketch 251 at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

I do hope that all who celebrate had a lovely Easter weekend, we certainly did as we had family with children visiting so an Easter egg hunt and lovely family time was enjoyed, all the better after a stressful few months.

Here is my second card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2, this one uses sketch 251. I only made it on the day that the challenge went live as my other half has had surgery recently and my mojo completely went for a time. Thankfully all appears to have gone well, fingers crossed for the follow-up appointment.

I have used an old pack from Wild Rose Studio for my card from 2014 which features Bluebell. I cut out the precoloured image of Bluebell and the butterfly from the printed panels which came with the matching paper pad, although there are some line drawings in there to colour too. The green card is probably equally as old and came from Craftwork Cards and the ribbon most likely came from the Hobby House. The card blank is 148 x 148 and came from Craft UK.

Hello, here is my first card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 this month. This is using Sketch 252 and was the first card I created. 

The floral papers were a gift from a lovely crafting friend in New Zealand.

The dotty vellum was from the Kanban factory shop.

The dies are Ovals - Crafters Companion, Flowers - Sizzix Tim Holtz, Bow - Papercraft society.

The Oval around the Craftwork Cards sentiment is from a Stampin Up punch.

The pearls are Hobby House.

 Here is the card I made for sketch 250 at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2, I have been creating for SSW2 since sketch 43 in 2015

It was pure coincidence that I used almost the same colour of paper for my card, I was thinking of fresh spring colours when I was making my card.

March Sweet Sketch 249

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Here is my first card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 this month.

 This is Sketch 249.

I rotated the sketch a quarter turn clockwise, the images and the sentiments came fromam issue of Creative Stamping Magazine, I masked the otter before stamping the grasses and then coloured with Polychromos pencils.

The papers are Daisy Mae Designs from Craft Stash and the little cirles were cut using a Woodware die. The twine is from Creative Expressions.

Following February sketches for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am here to share my cards for our February challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

First here is my card for sketch 247

I used an old Lili of the Valley Topper which I have had for quite some time (I think they came on sheets with different sizes) along with some Lili of the Valley Papers and some ribbon and card from my shelves. I also made a pink version

So now I have 2 baby cards but don't know of anyone I might end up sending them to but they were definitely in the very quick and easy to make category.

Here is the sketch.

My card for sketch 248 took a little longer

I used a new set from Stampin Up called Beautifully Happy for the main image and the sentiment is from another Stampin Up set Charming Sentiments, papers are Butterfly Kisses from Dovecraft and the beautiful oval die was a birthday gift from a lovely friend. 

The flowers and leaves were coloured using Memento inks.

Hello. thank you for visiting my blog.

 Here is my first DT card for this months challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

I built my image using the Build-a-Bee stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps and coloured it with my copic markers.

The papers are from Echo Park and the sentiment is (I think) from a Woodware set.

Pearls are from The Hobby House and the yellow card came from Lidl.
