It's time to share my card for the challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 where this week we are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine, Heather really does draw the cutest images.

Here is my creation

I used the image Sleepy Ramsay Stitched and the papers and card are all from my scraps.

Here is our revisited sketch, great to use up those smaller pieces.

I do hope that you can find the time to play along with us this week.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday with a DigiStamp

9 days to go until Christmas and I have only written about 8 cards, oops! I am never this late.
So as we race towards Christmas I decided that I wanted to break away from the Christmas cards with my card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

This time around we have another wonderful sketch from Sally which I am sure would look great twisted too but I used it as it was.

We are sponsored by one of my favourite sponsors this time, DigiStamp Boutique, based here in the UK.

Here is the card I made

I changed the colours in Word, obviously I needed an antidote to the grey and dismal weather we have been experiencing here in my part of Yorkshire recently, and paired my images with some My Mind Eye papers, The images I used are from Large Birthday Words and Colour Flower Set.

Thank you for visiting and for any comments which are always really appreciated.

A Freshly Brewed Sweet Sketch

Wednesday again, and scarily only a couple more after this one until Christmas and I still have so much to do.

So with plenty of cards still to be made, I chose a Christmas image from our Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 sponsor this week, Fresh Brewed Designs and here is my Design Team card.

I chose the image Shepherd and twisted the sketch so that I could put the star for him to follow as the embellishment.

This is Sallys sketch

I will have to have a play with it the right way round sometime.

Do pop over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and see what we have all been up to this week

Thanks as always for dropping by and for all your comments which I really do appreciate

Sweet Sketch Wednesday and Dilly Beans

Yes I know it's Saturday but it's been one of those weeks when life just catches up with you, so sorry to be late sharing my card, which is here

I got to work with this lovely fox image from our sponsor Dilly Beans, I coloured my image with promarkers because the terracotta was the perfect colour for the fox and put white dots on the blue bit which you can't see on this picture. Papers are Lili of the Valley and I can't remember where I bought the snowflake ribbon from.

Here is Sallys fabulous sketch

Please join us and play along this week over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 the weather is too rubbish to do much else. (Says she who is off to Leeds Christmas shopping)

Sweet Sketch and Deedees Designs

Here is my card for this weeks Sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

This week we are sponsored by Deedees and I chose to use the set Autumn Splendour. You get three other images with this set and some words as well as line art. I am thinking of making a Christmas Card with this wreath too, I think it might work.

This is the sketch we were following this week, an oldie but a goodie as it is the last week in the month.

I am also entering this card at Allsorts who have Use At Least 3 dies as their challenge this week. I have used Nestabilies Circle and Scalloped Circle, and Square and Scalloped Square.

Here are a couple of cards which I made with the other images in the set. Hopefully the recipients will have received them by now

Thank you so much for visiting and for any comments you are kind enough to leave.

A sweet sketch with a digi sponsor

I so enjoyed making my Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 card this week, the hardest part is getting a decent photo now that the days are shorter so it was back to the daylight lamp and the cushion.

Sally has made up another great sketch for us this week over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Here it is.
Great for using up those little bits of papers that you might have left over.

Here's what I made with it

This week we are sponsored by Digistamp Boutique and I chose to use this new image Penguin Greeting (not much colouring to do) along with the  Snowy Background which I resized to fit the sketch then added some Stickles Crystal (because it was flowing better than the Diamond) glitter glue to highlight it.

I've used the Festive Trimmings papers from Nitwits/LOTV and glittered around them too, a piece of ribbon and shiny red candy completed this weeks card.

If you have time then do join us Sally-Ann always gives such a generous prize and has a fantastic range of images

Thank you for visiting me and for any comments you are kind enough to take the time to leave.

Just hanging ......

I made this door hanger for my great-nephew as part of his birthday present.

The image is a Hobby House topper  and the papers were left over from his card which I am sharing below and it seemed right that they went together in the same post.

The words are made from American Crafts Thickers.

I am entering this at Allsorts Challenge Blog  who have Anything but a card for there theme this week

Thank you for visiting, I really do appreciate any comments you take the time to leave

Still in Scarecrow mode with Dearie Dolls

Here is my card for this weeks challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
This week we are using Dearie Dolls images and I am still in scarecrow mode so chose this one which was precoloured. Papers and embellishments came from the Take it Easy kit from Craftwork Cards and the Maya Road ribbon came from there many years ago too.
I don't have any large ovals so I used a label die for the mage and drew around it for the mat.

Here is Sallys sketch

Another great one, do pop over to the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog  and play along with us.

Thank you for visiting and for any comments you are kind enough to take the time to leave

Bugabooing a sweet sketch

Wednesday again and time for another great sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and here it is

This week we are sponsored by Bugaboo, love their images, such a huge variety too.

I chose to use  the Autumn Scarecrow image and really enjoyed colouring it all in then struggled to pick out papers and  embellishments but I think it came together ok in the end.

Anyway here it is. The papers came from a bargain box of scrapbooking goodies that I bought a few years ago, the flowers I have stopped saving for best and I delved into my embroidery silks for the sparkly copper floss.

Thank you for visiting and do pop over to the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog and check out the challenge.

.......and a partridge in a sweet sketch

It' s a wet and foggy Wednesday here in West Yorkshire so let's brighten it up with this weeks sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Here is the sketch

I rotated it to fit my image and here is my DT card

This week we are sponsored by Doodle Pantry and I chose to use this gorgeous image Holiday Partridge. It also comes in blue and in line art to colour yourself and you get all the papers and sentiments to match. I just added the card and glittery ribbon which I coloured with a promarker as I didn't have any gold.

Thank you for visiting and for any comments you are kind enough to take the time to leave.

I do hope that you might find time to play along with us

Pain stopped play

I am extremely late posting my DT card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week, a splitting headache and temperamental laptop kept me from posting but better late than never and here is my creation for this week.

This week we are sponsored by Lacy Sunshine, I love the images from this sponsor and always enjoy creating with them.
I chose Hollyanna Ethereal Enchantress to play with and it took me a while to narrow it down to her if I am honest.
I have coloured her with copics and used a bit of glitter and glossy accents too but it doesn't show up too well
My papers are Gilded Winter from First Edition and I've used a Sizzix Embosslit for the holly with Card Candi from Craftwork Cards to finish, oh and if you look closely there's ombre ribbon too.

Here's the sketch we followed this week

It's an oldie but another goodie.

Please do pop over and play along with us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and you could win some gorgeous Lacy Sunshine images to play with.

Thank you for visiting and sorry to be so late this week

Sweet Sketch, in the Potting Shed with Sami Stamps

Sally has done it again this week and given us yet another fabulous sketch to play with over at
Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

This week we are sponsored by Sami Stamps and I chose to use the image Feather Umbrella and teamed it with the new Potting shed 2 collection from Craftwork Cards.
I just need to find myself a brolly like that now.

I do hope that you can find the time to play along with us this week.

Thank you so much for visiting me

A sweet sketch with a DigiStamp thrown in

It's the middle of the work week already so lets get over hump day with a fabulous sketch from Sally Dube over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

and to go with this great sketch this week we have a Great British sponsor in
Digi Stamp Boutique.

So I put them together along with some bargain paper from Tk Maxx and a couple of buttons and this is what I came up with

I think all the red may have been influenced by a little visit to The Wave of Poppies at The Yorkshire Sculpture Park on Saturday

It was a bit wet but well worth it and as they are there until January I am sure we will be able to find a nice clear crisp day to visit on.

I am entering my card in the Allsorts Challenge this week as they have a theme of Buttons

Thank you for taking the time to visit me this week

A little bit Disney

When I saw the Bohemia kit from Craftwork Cards I just knew that I wanted to use the clock card with some Minnie Mouse papers and decoupage which I bought earlier in the year so here is the result

I have coloured the card with Distress Ink and everything else is from the kit.

Hope you like ( I think my Croatian sheep does) and thank you for visiting.

I am entering this at Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge where the theme this week is Anything Goes

and also at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog who also have an Anything Goes theme

Into Autumn with Patties Creations

Well there has definitely been a nip in the air this week on the walk to work, the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness is almost upon us so it's quite appropriate that I should get this pumpkin jug to play with from our sponsor Patties Creations over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 this week.

Pattie has some lovely images to choose from and I really enjoyed playing with this one, so easy to colour.

Sallys sketch this week is another great one to play with too whichever way you twist it as I did.

I've used copics to colour my imge and then added flower soft for the centres and the ground.
Papers are from the scrap box.

Thank you so much for taking time to visit me

Snow joke ......

....... I really do need to get cracking with the Christmas cards.

So here for starters is my DT card for this week sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Sally has designed this fabulous sketch for us to play with

and I had great fun with this wonderful snowman image from our sponsor this week Bugaboo stamps, I love their images, such a huge variety to choose from and the design team have created some brilliant cards with them this week to inspire you.

I did struggle to get a decent photo this week, I 've used quite a bit of glossy accents as highlights but I don't think it shows too well.
Papers are from Lili of the Valley Festive Trimmings pad, Holly die from Memory box some stickles glitter glue and sequin ribbon from the silver jar.

Thank you for visiting me today, happy crafting!

Doodling in the Pantry

We have a rewind sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday this     week as it is the last Wednesday in the month.
It's hard to think that we are at the end of August already but the bonus is that we have a bank holiday here on Monday so a 3 day weekend, I think I will have to set myself aside some crafty time besides the catching up on the chores.                                                    We are sponsored by Doodle Pantry this week, Laurie has a         lovely selection of images to choose from  and I chose to use the Agapanthus. This is one of my favourite flowers and the picture above is of the one in my back garden, it does really well with not much tlc.

So here is my card

I was a bit  mojoless at the weekend so this is my second attempt, the first one didn't get much further than the oval mat to be honest.
I decided to paper piece the image as I saw someone do this with a hydrangea stamp recently and thought it looked good, I added a bit of glitter glue to my flowers just to lift them a bit.

So thank you for visiting and please do pop over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 too and see what everyone else made, and if you decide to join in with us you don't have to use a sponsors image to enter,

Sweet Sketch Wednesday with DigiStamp Boutique

Here is my Design Team Card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 this week.

I have kept it very simple, just different layers of cardstock and I have embossed the white one with a simple dotty folder.
My image is from one of the Rosie sets from Didi Stamp Boutique.
Everything on this card apart from the pearl and the copics used to colour the image has come from Craftwork Cards at some time or another.

Thank you for visiting and I do hope that you will play along with us this week

Penny's Heart from Dilly Beans

Today is known as The Glorious Twelfth in the UK as it is the start of the grouse shooting season.
This reminds me of happy times spent at the Toc H Centre in Colsterdale near Masham in North Yorkshire when I was younger. It was miles from anywhere in the middle of the grouse moor and we had some fabulous times  there as a group of volunteers training to lead community projects or being there with a houseful of children, or just socialising and reflecting on another great year of fellowship and giving.
Here's a picture for old times sake.

TocH centre, Colsterdale

So last week I went a bit vintage with my card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 Design team and this week I was feeling a bit of an oriental influence.
I was give Penny's Heart to play with from our sponsors Dilly Beans and here is what I created with it

I used some very old Doodlebug glittery cardstock and some much newer Minnie mouse papers for the black and red, I thought I had some red paper with hearts on but that must have been donated somewhere.
Ribbon is from the jar and the base card is Craftwork Cards.
Penny has been coloured with Copics

and here is Sallys fabulous sketch

I have to admit that these diamond shapes are growing on me

Thank you for visiting and it would be lovely if you could find time to play along with us this week.

Here's a link to the blog and don't forget to leave a comment to be in with a chance of the prize and check out what my teamies have been up to, I finally got the list of links up on the right hand side.
