Flutterby, butterfly onto a Sweet Sketch

Well I know that one of my followers may not like the image that I chose this week but when I saw it I immediately had an idea and miraculously managed to remember it. Wish I could remember all the things my boss asks me to do as easily...or maybe not.

Our sponsor over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 this week is Patties Creations who is offering our lucky winner 2 free images.

So as it is the last sketch of the month (can you believe we are almost at the end of April already) we are revisiting this great sketch created by Arlana

I flipped the sketch and here is what I did with it.

Base card is 7 inch square
Papers are from First Edition - Paper Flowers pad
Vellum and purple card have been on the shelves for a while.
Trellis embossing folder is from Crafts Too
Branches are Leafy Branch from Memory Box
Flowers are EK Success.
I coloured my butterflies with Promarkers
Gems are from the bargain bin at the local craft shop
Ribbon is from the jar - a whole 9 inches!
Butterfly image printed 3 times and raised up with pinflair.

Thank you for visiting and please hop over to the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2  blog and see the gorgeous creations my team mates have designed.

And now for something .......

..... a little different.

This week over a Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 we are sponsored by Dilly Beans Stamps.

The images are quite different to what I would usually choose but I really enjoyed playing with the one I chose which is River Framed 2.

Here is the sketch Sally created for us to play with this week

Another great sketch, really easy to work with and brilliant for using up little pieces of patterned paper.

I have used my image 5 times, 4 times to make the square (with the aid of photo editing software) and then I printed it out large enough to make the flower embellishment.
Then I coloured in with copics and used a black mat and some black stranded cotton to finish.

Hope you can join us this week, it's a great sketch!

Funtime Rosie Sweetly Sketching

Another Wednesday means another great sketch from Sally over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2,

and this is it!

Our sponsor this week is DigiStamp Boutique. Sally-Ann has a great selection of  digi images to choose from. I've used an older one for my card this week but as I am relatively new to the world of the digi stamp they are all quite new to me.

This image is from the Funtime Rosie set and I got the copics out to colour her.
The papers are some of my favourite Lili of the Valley/Nitwits papers from the Up Up and Away/Pastel Dreams pads
Dies are a mixture of Spellbinders and Memory Box.
Flowers are an EK Success daisy punch that I have had forever.
Pink card is American Crafts
Base card as almost always is Craftwork Cards
Pearls are from the craft room shelves.

I decorated the inside again to match using my favourite herma repositionable for the sentiment block as that will be done later

Thank you for visiting and I do hope that you are able to join us this week for a play.
It's a great prize!

Delivery bonnet

I am a bit late with my post for Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week.

This week we are sponsored by A Day for Daisies, another sponsor with a lovely selection of images.

Sally supplied us with another great sketch to follow

nice and simple.

I used the Delivery Bonnet image on my card which I have paper pieced with Forever Friends Kraft Notes papers, then coloured the flowers, boots and grass with copics.
I have highlighted the flowers and grass with glossy accents, although it doesn't show too well on the photo. The pink card and ribbon is American Crafts and the base card is from Craftwork Cards.
The sentiment is Tattered Lace, it was a just pay the postage offer in this months Making Cards magazine, I think I was quite lucky with the selection I got.

Then I decorated the inside to match

Thank you for visiting, please hop over to the blog and check out my teamies creations.

Catching the bug

I coloured this Bugaboo image up on Saturday and then made it up yesterday with Nitwits/Lili of the Valley One Birdie Lane  papers and some card embossed with a Diesire embossing folder.
The butterfly is a Joanna Sheen signature die and the ribbon came from the cake shop in town.

Then I decorated the inside to compliment it

Thank you for visiting.

Daffodils for Easter

I didn't get the chance to make as many cards as I wanted to this Easter life and work got in the way but here is a simple one that I made using an image and sentiment from DigiStamp Boutique, stamped onto Craftwork Cards Digi cardstock ( it really is the smoothest I have found) and coloured with Copics.
The papers are Dovecraft and the ribbon is from the jar.
Dies are spellbinders

I am entering this card at Allsorts challenge blog, they have an Easter theme this week.

Thank you for visiting and Easter Blessings to you and yours

No fooling

Well here we are the first of April already, when I was a child my dad always managed to get me with an April Fool, I never learned.

As well as All Fools Day it is Wednesday and time for a new sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Here is Sallys sketch for this week

and here is my card

This week we are sponsored by Deedees designs who have a great range of images as you can see from all the design team cards this week.

I teamed my image with some old 7 gypsies papers which I bought especially to scrap some holiday photos with at least 10 years ago, I still haven't used them for scrapping.
I found some matching ric rac in the ric rac jar and stamped and coloured some bananas for the right hand corner.

I had planned on using the precoloured image in the set but my printer decided to make it stripy so I ended up colouring it with copics.

Thank you for visiting and I do hope that you can join us this week
