Sunshine comes to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

I'm a bit late with my Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 post this week, my laptop is on a go slow just now, I don't think it likes enforced updates.

So this week we have a blast from the past sketch because it is the last Wednesday of the month and here it is

It's a lovely sketch, really easy to work with and here's what I did.

I chose Myrtles Kite from our sponsors this week Lacy Sunshine. I really enjoy using the images from this sponsor because they all have proper faces. I have coloured Myrtle with Copic Markers.

My papers are from the Harbour Boulevard from Craftwork Cards, Dies are a mixture of Lawn Fawn and Spellbinders.

I have had the kite button for a while, I have other colours too so watch this space :-)

So I said that this was a blast from the past sketch and here's a little peek at what I did with it last September

Modern roses

Here we are and it's Wednesday already and time for another sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Here is the sketch designed by Sally.

 and as it's the third week in the month we are sponsored by Digistamp Boutique.

I chose to use this Modern Rose Bouquet image and decided to keep my card quite clean.

I've used up some papers and vellum that have been in my stash for yonks.

The embossing on the card doesn't show up very well, but it's there.

The lace tape is from Lacey tapes and I made the little rose bouquet from spiders web and some rose buds that I picked up at Hebden Bridge Rag Fair on Saturday. ( I bought some other things for the roundtuit project shelf too) My little bouquet was my husbands favourite part of this card so here's a close up.

Blue birds and bluebells

It's bluebell season  here in Yorkshire just now and we are blessed with a few bluebell woods around here. I love the colour of them and the way that they make a carpet on the ground.

So here we are Wednesday again and time for another sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Sally has designed another great sketch for us.

I twisted it by 90 degrees to fit my image, I will have to have a play with it as it is sometime too.

So here is my card

I chose the image Birdie Hearts for my card, coloured with copics and a bit of stickles on the eye and some glossy accents on the hearts which doesn't really show up on the photo.

My papers are Kaisercraft which I bought earlier this year, I had a plan for them which I have forgotten now but they were perfect for this image.

I have had the silver hearts for ages so it was good to use some on this project.

Being a lover of sheep I chose the image Happy Birthday to Ewe 

Coloured it with promarkers and embellished it with some diamond stickles for extra birthday sparkle.

Coloured card is from the box on the shelf, and the ribbon  is from the jar.

Inside was decorated to compliment the outside

Well it's as good a way as any to use some of the paper hoard.
