Doodling in the Pantry

We have a rewind sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday this     week as it is the last Wednesday in the month.
It's hard to think that we are at the end of August already but the bonus is that we have a bank holiday here on Monday so a 3 day weekend, I think I will have to set myself aside some crafty time besides the catching up on the chores.                                                    We are sponsored by Doodle Pantry this week, Laurie has a         lovely selection of images to choose from  and I chose to use the Agapanthus. This is one of my favourite flowers and the picture above is of the one in my back garden, it does really well with not much tlc.

So here is my card

I was a bit  mojoless at the weekend so this is my second attempt, the first one didn't get much further than the oval mat to be honest.
I decided to paper piece the image as I saw someone do this with a hydrangea stamp recently and thought it looked good, I added a bit of glitter glue to my flowers just to lift them a bit.

So thank you for visiting and please do pop over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 too and see what everyone else made, and if you decide to join in with us you don't have to use a sponsors image to enter,

Sweet Sketch Wednesday with DigiStamp Boutique

Here is my Design Team Card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 this week.

I have kept it very simple, just different layers of cardstock and I have embossed the white one with a simple dotty folder.
My image is from one of the Rosie sets from Didi Stamp Boutique.
Everything on this card apart from the pearl and the copics used to colour the image has come from Craftwork Cards at some time or another.

Thank you for visiting and I do hope that you will play along with us this week

Penny's Heart from Dilly Beans

Today is known as The Glorious Twelfth in the UK as it is the start of the grouse shooting season.
This reminds me of happy times spent at the Toc H Centre in Colsterdale near Masham in North Yorkshire when I was younger. It was miles from anywhere in the middle of the grouse moor and we had some fabulous times  there as a group of volunteers training to lead community projects or being there with a houseful of children, or just socialising and reflecting on another great year of fellowship and giving.
Here's a picture for old times sake.

So last week I went a bit vintage with my card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 Design team and this week I was feeling a bit of an oriental influence.
I was give Penny's Heart to play with from our sponsors Dilly Beans and here is what I created with it

I used some very old Doodlebug glittery cardstock and some much newer Minnie mouse papers for the black and red, I thought I had some red paper with hearts on but that must have been donated somewhere.
Ribbon is from the jar and the base card is Craftwork Cards.
Penny has been coloured with Copics

and here is Sallys fabulous sketch

I have to admit that these diamond shapes are growing on me

Thank you for visiting and it would be lovely if you could find time to play along with us this week.

Here's a link to the blog and don't forget to leave a comment to be in with a chance of the prize and check out what my teamies have been up to, I finally got the list of links up on the right hand side.

Something old, something new.................

................. nothing borrowed, something blue but not a wedding card in sight.

These Wednesdays seem to be coming round very quickly just now but that means we have another fabulous sketch from Sally to share.

Here it is

and here is my card

This week we are sponsored  by A Day for Daisies and I chose the image Birthday Invitation.
I thought it looked quite vintage so paired it with these soft pastel Petal Fresh papers for Nitwits/LOTV.
The circle die is a marianne die bought in the sale at the Lili of the Valley shop last Saturday, they are moving premises and have closed the shop for now, shame it was quite handy for us, maybe a little too handy lol!
The daisy ribbon has been in the jar for ages and I coloured it with Copics and the  pearls were coloured to match.

Thank you for visiting and please take a trip over to the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog and play along with us, it's a great sketch and you don't have to use a sponsors image to join in just follow the sketch, we all love to see what you create.
