Flower Ladybug Love

There's a new Stella sketch today at Bugaboo and I decided to play along.

Here is the sketch

Here is my card

Although my card is a different shape I think you can still see it pretty well.
I have used one of my favourite Bugaboo images flowerladybuglove and coloured it with Copics.
My papers are some that I picked up in the bargain rack at Whichcraft a few months ago and thought they would be perfect with this image.

Thank you for visiting and for any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Digistamp Boutique at SSW2

This is my card for our latest challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and this is Kathies sketch for us this time around.

I rotated the sketch because I wanted to have my ribbon coming down the side.

This challenge we are celebrating Digistamp Boutique. Sally-Ann was such a great supporter of our challenge blog and we all loved creating with her images.
I have used Jolly Christmas one of my favourite DSB Christmas images.
I created my background paper using distress oxides and some of the lovely Julie Hickeys new Christmas stamps, the red snowflakes are also from the stamp set.

We travelled down to Rugby last Saturday and despite travel being more difficult than we would have liked we had a lovely day and created 2 lovely cards with Julie too. Dragon Paper Craft is a lovely shop, I wish it was a bit nearer.

Thank you for visiting

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

Here is my card for our latest challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

I have been struggling to create recently, I had a bad bout of laryngitis last month which rather knocked me for 6 but hopefully normal (whatever that is) service can be resumed and this is as good a place to start. I am sorry if I have neglected commenting on some of my followers blogs recently too.

My image is from a Uniko stamp which I trimmed to size to fit the sketch and then matted onto one of the Reveal-it mats that Craftwork Cards did which I coloured to match mt image panel.

We do hope that you can play along with us this time, Kathie has created this fabulous sketch

and you could win some lovely Craftwork Cards Stamps

Here I am a little late with my DT card for our latest challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2, I have been a bit under the weather this week.

I used the image Silent Film A for my card and haven't coloured it.  I paired it with some papers and dies which I hope give it a feel of the silent film era.

This is Kathies Sketch

I do hope that you can play along with us this fortnight, you could win some lovely ADFD images

Delicious Doodles at SSW2

Here is my card for our latest challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 where our sponsor is Delicious Doodles a brand new sponsor to us.

Here is Kathies sketch

My card is a bit different for me in that there is quite a bit of brown, I don't usually do much brown but I had the Antiquities Project of the Month from the now sadly closed Craftwork Cards and thought that it would suit the sketch and Echinacea Flower image which I coloured with Distress Oxides. That was a first.

I do hope that you can play along with us this fortnight, this is such an easy sketch to follow.

I saw this image used by Lorraine at Mrs B's Blog a little while ago and knew that it would be perfect for this sketch. I have coloured it with Copics and everything else apart from the Doodlebug gems is from Craftwork Cards.

Poppies and Princesses

Here is my DT card for our latest challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. I have used the image Princess with Poppy from our sponsors Little Blue Button which I have coloured with Copics. I would never of dreamt of choosing an image like this before I went on Copic Colouring classes with Faye Wynn-Jones, I have learnt so much and will now attempt folds and big hair.

Here is Kathies fabulous sketch

It's really straight-forward, I didn't have a die in this shape so just marked the centre of my rectangle and chopped as if I was making a tag.

I kept my card quite simple using some My Favourite Things paper from Dies to Die For and poppies which I bought from Lili of the Valley when they had their bricks and mortar shop. My card base is from Craftwork Cards who sadly ceased trading last month, I have used their products forever, the quality really was second to none and thankfully I have plenty of stocks to keep using but it was a sad day for me when I heard the news. We have had such happy times their creating over the years with the lovely Sue and all the team.

I do hope that you will pop over and play along with us, there are still a couple of days to enter.

Thank you for visiting and for any comments you may care to leave which always make me smile.

Best wishes

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 with A Day for Daisies

Here is my card for our latest challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

Here is Kathies sketch

Another fabulous one and very easy to use.

For my card I have use Bachelor Buttons in a Mason Jar from our sponsors A Day for Daisies. I loved this image but had to google what Bachelor Buttons are, turned out that they are Cornflowers which is one of my many favourite flowers.
I teamed my coloured image up with Hedgerow papers from Craftwork Cards.

I am late posting this but you still have a few days to join us, it has been a hectic couple of weeks and between the debacle that changing my car became and reorganising my craft room (still on with that one  - thanks Martin for building the new (additional) shelves) I have been shattered.
But onwards and upwards, I have enough table to create on and a glut of new baby and mens cards to create so I'd best away and get on with that.

Before I go I will just enter my card at
Crafty Friends - Favourite colours - I love hot pink especially with navy and I also love purple and lilac tones.
QKR Stampede - Anything goes.

Thank you for visiting and hopefully I 'll be back sooner rather than later

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 with a bit on the side

We have another new sketch today at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and once again it is created by our lovely team mate Kathie.

Here is the first card I created using Sweet Geisha Charlie from our sponsors Little Blue Button.
I have used Scrumptious papers, sentiment and Candi from Craftwork Cards.
I have used Polychromos pencils to colour

I then twisted the sketch for this second card where I used the image just once

Then I made this with a few flowers from the Scrumptious set, a couple of sentiments and some scrap paper.

Thank you for visiting and if you are inspired by our sketch then maybe you will play along with us.

Dusting off the cobwebs

Well it's been a while since I was here, life has been well life recently and sometimes something has to give.

I have stepped down from my role on the DT at Pennys Paper Crafty Challenge and this is my last card for them.

I have used the image Flowers in Bottles from our sponsor A Day for Daisies and my blue papers are from Nitwits - Petal Fresh. They are actually from a Lili of the Valley pad that is now discontinued and I have nearly run out of. My Blue ribbon is from Craftwork Cards and I coloured the image with Polychromos pencils.

So with all the blue and bottles I will enter this card in this weeks challenge at Allsorts

My next card is my DT card for our latest challenge at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
We have this lovely Woodware Stamp as a prize.

This is Kathies Sketch - it's another good one

and here's how I used it.

Papers are LOTV Nitwits Country Meadow, Ribbon is from Craftwork Cards and the image is Sarah Kay decoupage. I do love these sweet images and it was nice to have  change and play with my decoupage, The die is from My Favourite Things.

Thank you for visiting me and I won't leave it so long next time
