Doodling in the Pantry

We have a rewind sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday this     week as it is the last Wednesday in the month.
It's hard to think that we are at the end of August already but the bonus is that we have a bank holiday here on Monday so a 3 day weekend, I think I will have to set myself aside some crafty time besides the catching up on the chores.                                                    We are sponsored by Doodle Pantry this week, Laurie has a         lovely selection of images to choose from  and I chose to use the Agapanthus. This is one of my favourite flowers and the picture above is of the one in my back garden, it does really well with not much tlc.

So here is my card

I was a bit  mojoless at the weekend so this is my second attempt, the first one didn't get much further than the oval mat to be honest.
I decided to paper piece the image as I saw someone do this with a hydrangea stamp recently and thought it looked good, I added a bit of glitter glue to my flowers just to lift them a bit.

So thank you for visiting and please do pop over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 too and see what everyone else made, and if you decide to join in with us you don't have to use a sponsors image to enter,

Anne I love your card, I used the double image of this last November here
http://kathiezkardz.blogspot.co.nz/2014/11/agapanthus.html. I was just so pleased how my card turned out which I gave to my husbands PA for her birthday. We have Agapanthus's growing down our long driveway which look amazing in the summertime as we have a mixture of white and mauve. They grow like weeds here in New Zealand and they were thinking of making them a noxious weed. Over in Australia my sister pays $35 for each little plant and you can't give them away here. Love your colour selection and that wonderful added ribbon embellishment the most perfect finishing touch to your lovely card.
Hugs
