Penny's Heart from Dilly Beans

Today is known as The Glorious Twelfth in the UK as it is the start of the grouse shooting season.
This reminds me of happy times spent at the Toc H Centre in Colsterdale near Masham in North Yorkshire when I was younger. It was miles from anywhere in the middle of the grouse moor and we had some fabulous times  there as a group of volunteers training to lead community projects or being there with a houseful of children, or just socialising and reflecting on another great year of fellowship and giving.
Here's a picture for old times sake.

So last week I went a bit vintage with my card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 Design team and this week I was feeling a bit of an oriental influence.
I was give Penny's Heart to play with from our sponsors Dilly Beans and here is what I created with it

I used some very old Doodlebug glittery cardstock and some much newer Minnie mouse papers for the black and red, I thought I had some red paper with hearts on but that must have been donated somewhere.
Ribbon is from the jar and the base card is Craftwork Cards.
Penny has been coloured with Copics

and here is Sallys fabulous sketch

I have to admit that these diamond shapes are growing on me

Thank you for visiting and it would be lovely if you could find time to play along with us this week.

Here's a link to the blog and don't forget to leave a comment to be in with a chance of the prize and check out what my teamies have been up to, I finally got the list of links up on the right hand side.

Great card Anne, a great job with the colouring of her hair.

Our friend, who's name I can not remember for the life in me, would not be too keen on this image as she refused to make one of the cards I had done for the group to do. lol.

Oh Anne thanks for such lovely comments. Yes those ribbon flowers are so easy to make! Love this photo of this country home I'm so looking forward to returning to England in December, just a lot colder than I'm use to. Love your card this week especially your colour combo and that beautiful colouring of her hair which isn't an easy job. Great card. Take care and have a lovely week.

I think that I have some of that glittery Doodlebug paper (now I have an idea how to use it!) Such a pretty card this week. I loved your picture of the countryside. You definitely live in one of the prettier places in the world. Great job coloring her hair … I have trouble with black hair. They always end up looking elderly! Hope your week is great.
