Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 August Challenge Part 1

From today Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 is moving to a monthly challenge with 2 sketches each month.
I ended up making 2 cards for each sketch and here are the cards I made using this sketch with images from our Sponsor Bugaboo

This card uses Bee Flower

and this one uses Tulip Hedgie

Both images are coloured using Distress Oxides and I used the Lawn Fawn Spring Fling papers again.

I'll be featuring the other sketch in a later post. If you want to see it sooner then check out the post over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

I'll be entering these over at Catch the Bug where the challenge this month is Anything Goes

Thank you for visiting and for any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Buttons and Bows at Allsorts

My friend Kath has set this weeks challenge over at Allsorts and her theme is Buttons and Bows.Miraculously I have actually managed to put the idea in my head for this challenge into practice, I think the wet weekend helped.
I dusted off the button jar as I decided that buttons would be the perfect centre for the flowers in this Bugaboo Image Teacup Flowers 2 Spot. I coloured the image with Distress Oxides and the papers are Lawn Fawn Spring Fling. I think that the ribbon is American Crafts and the blue card and base card are both Craftwork Cards but probably not available any more.

Thank you for visiting and for any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Sketchy Bears

I'm here with a couple of cards which I made for our latest challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
We have another great sketch to use from Kathie and apart from using sentiments instead of a flower I've pretty much followed it exactly.

For both cards I have used images from Lili of the Valley, my papers are also from Lili of the Valley but are discontinued, the sentiments came from Craftwork Cards some time ago and I have had the Prima flowers for more years than I care to remember.
Pearls are Dreamees, they are still available.

Here is Kathies fabulous sketch, I do hope that you might join us at SSW2 this challenge.

I am entering my cards in the following challenges

Polkadoodles Craft Challenge - Anything Goes

SSW2

It's been a busy time in our house for the last couple of months, we are in the midst of decorating, my husband turned 60 in June and had a big party and then we went away for a fabulous 10 days in Fuschl in Austria. This was our balcony and yes the lake really was that colour.

Image may contain: people sitting, sky, outdoor, water and nature

So we had a new challenge start last Wednesday over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and here is my card.

I went slightly off the sketch as I flipped it and did my roibbon slightly differently but my sister-in-law who was the recipient liked it.

Papers and sentiment Craftwork Cards Boutique Floral - retired
Dies - Tonic, Memory Box and MFT Die-namics
and here is the sketch for this fortnight

If you are inspired thne do hop over to the Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 blog and play along with us.

Celebrating 10 years

Hello and welcome to my post for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
This challenge will run for 4 weeks and we are celebrating 10 years of Sweet Sketch Wednesday in it's various guises. We are using the first sketch draw by Arlana and her sisters Judi and Nancy have created with us too.
Here is Arlanas sketch which I really enjoyed creating with

and here is my card using the image New Shoes from our sponsor A Day for Daisies

ADFD is closing at the end of this month and I know that the DT will miss creating with Tammys images.
I have coloured my image with Copics although I think that my folds need a bit more practice on this image.
Image - New Shoes by A Day for Daisies
Papers - Lawn Fawn Spring Fling
Sentiment Stamp and Banner Die - Julie Hickey Designs
Flower - The Hobby House
Base Card - US A2 size made from card from Kanban Factory shop

SSW2 155 with Cute as a Button

It's been a while but here I am with my latest card for our challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. We are sponsored by Cute as a Button and I chose this image called Anne. I couldn't resist really especially as she reminds me of the Anne of Green Gables books which is quite appropriate as tomorrow is World Book Day.
I coloured her with my Zig Clean Colour pens - I think I overdid the eyebrows - and paper pieced her dress with now discontinued papers from Lili of the Valley but I have lots of their papers so they have to be used.

We had a lovely day at Stamperama in Harrogate on Saturday, it was quite busy but we managed to buy a few new stamps and dies between us and a couple of lovely papercraft kits. I really must blog more. It's been so long that I certainly have plenty of cards to share.

Thank you for dropping in to visit and for any comments you are kind enough to leave.

I will be entering my card in the following challenges
