A bit last minute

So about 3.30 on Tuesday he comes up to me and says, I keep forgetting to ask so I'm in trouble with the other half but can you make a card for Jades birthday. Ah, you'll need that for tomorrow then says I,and I couldn't refuse because I had made a card for the other 16 year old in the family, so I put aside the tiredness and got my head around a fairly non girly card at around 9pm and this is the result.
I've used an 8x8 elegant card from Craftwork Cards along with some of their paper. I have stamped onto the base card with some stamps from the same Kanban set that the tree is from in Peacock Brilliance ink. Tied a bit of ribbon round which I had hanging around and added a Little Claire sentiment.

December already

I am really behind with my Christmas this year. I made 5 cards of this design on Sunday which brought me up to a total of 19 made so I had better get my finger out for the other 25 or so people who I want to send a handmade card to. The rest will have a bought one this year I am afraid.
This Penny Black Image belongs to one of my friends at craft group, I'm pretty sure it is Ginettes but apologies if it isn't and I have offended anyone. I coloured it in with Promarkers then followed the PBSC sketch from last week which I loved but never had time to play with.
Papers are by Dovecraft. card from my collection has been embossed with a cuttlebug folder and the snowflakes are from a sizzlit and an X cut punch cut from some glitter paper which I found in my glitter and mirri box.
The sentiment is by Hero Arts and the base card is by Craftwork Cards. The red card was bought at the november show at the NEC around 8 years ago from the Scrapbook House.!
Thank you for looking and for your comments, I'll try not to leave it so long next time.
Edited to add: Apologies and grovels Carole, but on the plus side it's not too far away when I need to borrow it again ha ha!

Card for my father in law

It's my father in laws birthday today and here is his card. It's quite simple but for some reason took a bit of thinking about.
The base card which you can't see is a turquoisy blue colour and I've matted another piece of patterned card picked up at Kanban on top then a bit of Formula One decoupage, I tend to alternate between Formula One and Rugby League for my fil.
The dad was cut out (using some plasma letters which I had from Craftwork Cards some time ago ) from some metallic textured card which also came from Craftwork Cards a while ago. I coloured the letters with an Aegean Promaker.
The whole thing is finished of with cards candy and a Craftwork cards sentiment. So a real Made in Yorkshire card

Very purple

Here's a card I made for a birthday a week ago, it was very much to the wire as I had little or no mojo at the time.
The stamp is by Little Claire coloured in with Promarkers, patterned paper is Basic Grey Kioshi and the other paper I picked up at Once Upon a Stamp, I've overstamped it with a stamp from the Aspects of Design Fancy Flourishes set. Matt has been punched with a Martha Stewart punch. Ribbon flowers and brads are all from my collection and the base card is a Craftwork Cards back to basics and the sentiment is Craftwork Cards rescue words.

Card for a music fan

Well it's been nearly a month since I last posted and to be honest I've not done much but a couple of cards from a few weeks ago and a couple I've made today should fill a few days nicely.
Todays card is one I made for a colleague at work.
I've used some card and a topper which I picked up at the kanban sale day that we ent to, the orange dotty is some Crate Paper, the music was picked up at the GNPE in September and coloured with som distress ink.
The base card, card candy and brown matting card are from Craftwork Cards and the sentiment is by Woodware

Another stickeroo

I made this card from the bits that were still out from the Saturday Challenge card and used the sketch from a few weeks ago that I never got time to play with at the time.
So all the details are pretty much as before except that the overstamping is with Judikins Mince Flourish on this one and I have had the flowers for so long that I can't remember where they came from.

Thank you as always for looking and for your lovely comments

A loose sketch

This card is based on the middle bit of the sketch on Lili of the Valley this week.
The main image is by Lili of the Valley, another thing bought in March and not yet inked, terrible, and coloured with watercolour pencils.
The sentiment is a Personal Impressions design by Paula Pascual and has been stamped with Memento ink.
Buttons and paper string are from my box and the paper is by Crate.
Do I need to say that the base card is by Craftwork Cards.

Sketch and stash no 47

Another challenge card this time for Sketch and Stash. This one is for someone I have worked with for 12 and a half years and she is retiring on Friday. She likes to garden so I chose this well loved Sarah Kay stamp for the main image and couloured it with Promarkers. The sentiment is from my new Woodware set.
The Prima flowers and ribbon are from my collection, the flower centresare from Hobby House and the brads are by papermania.
I bought the paper at the GNPE in March this year and this was the first time I had cut into it.

Another workshop

This is a card I amde on a workshop with Julie Hickey at Craftwork Cards in the summer and I've been saving it for my hairdresser whose birthday is tomorrow as she likes Cath Kidston style so these Vintage Rose papers fitted the bill.

Handbag with a difference

Here's a card I made for a friend at work last week. She likes hedgehogs and autumn colours.

I copied the design of the card from one I had done on a workshop at Which Crafts in Doncaster a few weeks ago and it uses one of their small hanbag cards.

The main image is a Penny Black slapstick which I have coloured in with watercolour pencils, and the sentiment is from a woodware set. I went around the edge of the circle with some printworks ink, the papers on the back panel are My Minds Eye Bloom and Grow and the ribbon is from my 'slightly smaller' collection

Down to the wire

My nephew gets married today and I have finally managed to make a card last night, the insert has been sorted this morning!
Main image is Curly Wedding cake by Denami and has been stamped onto Craftwork Cards silver ice card with Brilliance Graphite Black and coloured with a periwinkle Marvy le plume marker. I have embellished it with crystals which you can just about pick out if you look closely.
Sentiment is by Woodware and part of a very useful sheet.
Paper came out of the box I picked out at the kanban sale day, blue card is pearlised Bazzill and the base card is silver ice size 6. Brads are making memories and ribbon is from my little collection.

Another LOTV Topper

I am usually much further ahead with my Christmas cards but this year I am so far behind that it is unlikely that everyone will get a made one. When I saw these toppers at the Harrogate show they were great value for money and also will save me at least 40 lots of stamping and colouring in so into my bag they went.
For this card I have delved into the Hot of the Press kit again for the paper which I have embellished with a Denami stamp which I think is called Holly Swirl but it could be flourish.
Blue card has been through the cuttlebug, green card was from Papermill shop at Mansfield before it shut and the base card is by Craftwork Cards.

Brads are Papermania, and layout is by ME!

Sketch and Stash

I have had this sketch and stash sketch on my clipboard for a while now and was playing with this stamp and some memento inks on Sunday afternoon and the shape just fitted.
Remembered that I had these papers from Stampin Up as yet uncut, a bit of green Bazzill from the scrap bag, a couple of papermania brads, Craftwork Cards base card and there it was done.

Taste of Egypt

This is not the best scan as there should be an even white surround to the beige background but I had to get the card in the post so imagine the scene if you will and perhaps also the punctuation in this sentence.
I have use the Judikins Egyptian cube and stamped with Memento Cottage Ivy onto some beige bazzill cardstock.
The main image has been made from a few layers of UTEE and a few layers of gold embossing powder which I have then stamped into. It's been matted onto green and gold card from my scrap bags and then stuck over the mesh and a few brads to finish it off.
The sentiment came from Craftwork Cards some time ago

Card number 2

I made this card on Sunday for one of the many nephews we have between us.
I have used the Safari cube by Judikins for the main image and the background. It has been coloured with Promarkers and I have used various colours of memento inks throughout.
The greeting is a rub on by pebbles inc and I think that all the card has come from Craftwork Cards at some time

Happy Yorkshire Day

Crikey 3 weeks since I posted and to be honest I have only made 2 cards in those 3 weeks.
I have made this card using the sketch from the Lili of the Valley challenge but didn't have a stamp that fitted so fell back on this old favourite from Sarah Kay. Papers are also soome of my favourite from Basic Grey, the Lily Kate collection, flowers have been resting in my collection for some time, the ribbon is from the same place but has not lingered as long, and the brads are by Making Memories with stickles added for a bit of a lift.
Sentiment stamp is by Denami.

Papertake weekly challenge

I picked up this stamp when I was over at the Hobby House a couple of weeks ago, I've liked it for a while so it was an easy choice. It is Daisy, a Sugar Nellie design by Elisabeth Bell and the size of it seemed to be made for this sketch.
I've stamped it in Black stazon onto some watercolour paper and decided to give my aquatones an airing to colour it in although I used a stampin up watercolour wonder for the skin tone.
Papers are Quite Contrary by My Minds Eye, all the other bits and bobs are from my collection and the base card is as ever by Craftwork Cards although this one is softies for a change.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

The Lily of the Valley challenge this time around is a sketch challenge. This is the first time I have entered this challenge but had to make a card for someone at work and so thought I would combine the two and enjoyed the play.

Papers are basic grey kioshi, flowers are prima and the pearl brads were bought form the hobby house when we were over in Tetney a couple of weeks ago. Ribbon is from my collection.

More Christmas

I made this card thee other week when I was over at Peggys, I have a few cards ready with the paper squares on now but need to get cracking with the stamping and colouring.
I really like this Penny Black Santa as he looks quite European and I decided to colour hiom in blue to match the papers, I think he is traditionally in blue in some countries but don't quote me on that , it is a "think".
Papers are still from that Dovecraft pack, image is stamped onto Craftwork Cards Cardstock, I need to stock up actually, and coloured with promarkers. Sentiment and base card are also Craftwork Cards.

Card for the other half

Martin ended up with a very simple card this year. It is 9 squares of Papermania Hampton papers edged with brown ink mouted onto a Craftwork Cards back to basics size 6 card. Then I have stamped a Lili of the Valley image and coloured it with Promarkers to match. He likes this kind of colour scheme so was happy with the result. Sentiment is by Craftwork cards

This is a dreadfully wonky scan, I did mean to rescan it before I gave it to the recipient, ooops, but at least it looks straight on her shelf.
Papers are Basic Grey, stamp is from the Penny Black flowers and wishes set stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with Marvy pens. There is some brown velvet ribbon across the middle but its not that visible, and some overstampingwith Judikinns mince flourish stamp to pull it all in.

Penny Black Saturday week 103

The challenge over at Penny Black Saturday this week is In the Garden. I'd a few stamps to choose from but settled on this trailing clematis image from the flowers and wishes set. I stamped it out 4 times and used the extra set to 3d the flowers on the centre panel. The sentiment is from the Critter Party set.
The papers are by My Minds Eye from the Quite Contrary range, I thought the leaves on the green one fitted the challenge theme well.
Punch for the edging is by Fiskars and brads are from my collection.

Card for a mate

Here's a card I made last night for my friend to give to his colleague, or as he refers to her, his 'work wife'. I'd directed him to this blog and he liked the easel card from the Francoise class and this Sarah Kay stamp which I had used on another card so I have combined the two along with some My Minds Eye papers which were freebies in a mag and a few Prima flowers and sparklies.
I will now send him an e mail so that he can give it the once over.
